Gallery Lemaire

With nearly a hundred years of expertise, Galerie Lemaire is among the world’s oldest galleries dedicated to tribal art. Founded in Amsterdam in 1933 by M.L.J. Lemaire, the grandfather of the current owner, Finette Lemaire. The gallery has earned international recognition among collectors and enthusiasts alike.

Galerie Lemaire offers the rare opportunity to acquire works from historic collections. We are always open to viewing and considering such collections.

The gallery presents an impressive range of objects, including masks, statues, textiles, jewelry, and utensils. The gallery is specialised in artifacts from New Guinea and Indonesia.

Finette Lemaire is also the organizer of the TAF Amsterdam (www.tribalartfair.nl), which takes place every last weekend of October in “de Duif” in Amsterdam.
