History and international presence
The Dalton Somaré was founded in 1993 by Leonardo Vigorelli and Grata Somaré, drawing on their academic background in anthropology, museum experience, and over three decades of field research across the Himalayan region, India, Southeast Asia, and Africa.
Since 1999, the gallery has participated in major international events dedicated to African and Oriental art, including:
